New Delhi: For an actor like Akshay Kumar, who is so persuasive in each role that he can hold an audience captive with utmost ease, whether or not his movies chalk up Rs 100 crore (domestic/international net collection) doesn't hold much significance. While other Bollywood biggies have Rs 100 crore at box office as the benchmark of triumph, Akshay lets his success be determined by the impact he leaves on the minds of the viewers. This is precisely why his fans watch his movies multiple times.
The actor returns with another action-comedy film 'Boss' and promises to entertain fans with his quirky sense of humor and unpredictable affectation.
Even before its release, 'Boss' hit the headlines for entering the Guinness Book of World Records, courtesy its poster (58.87 metres wide and 54.94 metres high) which also broke the record set by Michael Jackson's This Is It.
For the uninitiated, the film features Akshay as a kind-hearted Haryanavi gangster and explores the father-son relationship (Mithun Chakraborty plays his father), which as the actor had said in an interview, he thoroughly enjoyed.
Will Boss also emerge as a huge grosser much like Akshay's popular films 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Housefull 2' and 'Oh My God'? Will Akshay's innate sense of humor and unusual action sequences work in the favour of the film?
