On Saturday, this sports-linked philanthropy reached the next level when he dedicated another 100 free cataract surgeries to chess grandmaster Viswanathan Anand, much to his pride and delight.Anand, the five-time world chess champion, inaugurated the brand new state-of-the-art operation theatre block at Dr Agarwal’s flagship hospital on Dr Radhakrishnan Salai. “This block houses three operation theatres and will greatly increase our capacity to operate on people” said Dr Agarwal.Delighted at the gesture, Anand collected the manifesto of 100 patients who had received the gift of cataract-free vision in his name, and thanked Dr Agarwal for his service. “I am delighted at the good that is being done in my name.
