Hyderabad: The upcoming 17th International children's film festival here will showcase popular films like 'Chillar Party', 'I Am Kalam' and 'Stanley Ka Dabba' among others.
The biennial event will be held from November 14 to November 20. About 44 countries are participating in the festival, which will screen 170 films including Iran's 'The Other', France's 'Tales Of The Night', China's 'The Star And The Sea' and Denmark's 'The Great Bear'.
The competition has been divided into four parts, where 15 films will compete at the international level, 10 at the national level while 25 short films (international/national) will be pitted against each other.
The festival has introduced a new section, which will show films directed by children (3-16 years). Hundred best films of the last decade will be shown in
the section called 'Children's World'. Films directed by China's Children's Film Association are also part of the event.
