BELLARY: The anxiety caused over safe landing of Tourism Minister Reddy’s helicopter, which had lost contact with Airport Transit System (ATS), was over within an hours time on Thursday morning and the chopper landed safely at Hoovina hadagli.Minister Janardhan Reddy accompanied by MP J Shantha, MLC Mrityunjaya Jinaga and Reddy’s personal assistant Kanthi were scheduled to attend a ‘Nimmondige navu’ programme at Hoovina hadagali on Thursday morning.As scheduled the five seater, helicopter carrying the dignitaries took off from Havembavi airstrip near Reddy’s house at 11 am. The chopper was scheduled to land at Hadagali within 35 minutes, but even after an hour the chopper was still in the air. The new pilot had allegedly lost the route and flew the chopper towards Koppal.The helicopter lost connection with the ATS due to cloudy weather.
