After media reports, Kageri, had ordered a committee, headed by Principal Secretary for Primary and Secondary Education, to conduct an inquiry into the alleged incident. The committee submitted its report to the state government on Saturday.Kageri told Express, “Based on the report, it appears that there has been no involvement of the teachers or the school management in the incident. The students in the class cut hair from each other. There has been no established connection about the discrimination of RTE children.”The President of Karnataka Federation of Independent Schools Managements (KFISM) L R Shivarame Gowda said, “The Federation from the start had demanded an investigation into the incident. In Oxford School, there are nine students who have been admitted under RTE. The incident happened in class among four children of which two were admitted under RTE while the others were students under regular admission.” “The two RTE students were highlighted. Private school managements will cooperate in the implementation of RTE, and there is no doubt about it,” affirmed Shivarame Gowda.
