New Delhi: A day before Motorola officially takes the wraps off its much-rumoured Moto E smartphone, online retalier Flipkart has sent out a tweet, teasing the arrival of the upcoming Moto phone. The tweet reads, "Time to upgrade? @Motorola's latest smartphone is coming soon, stay tuned!" The photo in the tweet adds more weight to rumours about the Moto E phone, suggesting that it will be a budget phone.
The photo in the tweet shows two illustrations of phones - one of an old feature phone, which Motorola recommends you should dispose of once the new budget Motorola phone (the other phone in the picture) launches. The text in the photos says, Coming Soon. Only on Flipkart.com." It further hints that the phone will be available only on Flipkart immediately after the launch.
Reportedly, the Moto E will have a 4.3-inch display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon along with 1GB RAM, and a 1,980mAh battery. It will sport a 5 megapixel camera and will support a memory card of up to 32GB for additional storage. The phone will run Android 4.4 KitKat.
The phone is expected to be announced globally in both single SIM and dual-SIM variants; it is unknown whether both the models will make their way to India, or only one of them will be announced for the Indian market.
Like the Moto G, the upcoming Moto E will support swappable back covers (Motorola Shells), which will be available in various colours.
