PARADIP: Police on Thursday arrested assailant Sudhakar Patra. A pistol, eight live cartridges, two magazines and a motorcycle have also been seized.A native of Berhampur, Patra was allegedly involved in 20 criminal cases in Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Jajpur, Puri, Berhampur and Bhubaneswer.Sources said Patra had opened fire on Jagdish Khatua and Gajendra Biswal of Gumutipur village at Tulsigadi under Jagatsinghpur police limits on Sunday following a dispute over parking of the former’s motorcycle. The locals, later, nabbed Patra and handed him over to the police.Meanwhile, the injured persons have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack. Jagatsinghpur police station IIC Satish Ray said raids are being conducted at different places to nab other members of his gang.
