During the raid the police rescued seven girls out of which four were from West Bengal, two from Bihar and one belonged to Andhra Pradesh.

New Delhi: Delhi Police on Monday night rescued seven girls who had been pushed into prostitution from the infamous GB Road. The police manage to rescued them after an NGO informed then about the girls.

After receiving the complaint the police raided some brothels in GB Road where the girls were suspected to have been hidden. During the raid the police rescued seven girls out of which four were from West Bengal, two from Bihar and one belonged to Andhra Pradesh.

NGO worker Hemlata said that they have been keeping an eye on the brothels and people luring young girls into prostitution. As soon as the NGO got the information about the seven girls being forced into prostitution, its members informed the police and helped in the rescue effort.

Delhi Police has registered a case and is investigating the matter.
