New Delhi: A 105-feet-high monumental flagpole bearing the tricolour was on Sunday installed in the sprawling diplomatic enclave in the city's Chanakyapuri area, becoming the second such structure to dot the landscape of the capital.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated the 'Monumental National Flag', measuring 30x20 ft, at the rotary junction connecting Shantipath, Niti Marg and Nyaya Marg. "National flag, national anthem, etc, invoke patriotism in us. When we forget about nation in this busy life, these are the symbols which remembers us about the nation," Kejriwal said during the event.

"There is a national flag installed in Connaught Place. Whenever I see that flag, I experience a kind of happiness from my heart. I thing, we should install flags in other parts of Delhi too, so that whenever we see it we think about our nation," he added.
