New Delhi: The Delhi Crime Branch claims to have busted an espionage racket supported by the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. One Pakistani agent and one serving Border Security Force soldier have been arrested under the provisions of Official Secret Act.
Delhi Police say they are relatives and the Pakistani agent delivered information on deployment of security forces and Indian Air Force operations to the ISI. Police say the agent even had contacts in the Army and he even bought information from them.
During the interrogation, the BSF official disclosed that he came in contact with the ISI agent and in lieu of monetary considerations he agreed to provide the secret information of the defence forces. For this purpose, he cultivated his sources in Army and BSF and they started passing on the information. The information was passed through e-mail, whatsapp and viber.
