New Delhi: The Delhi police has formed special crack teams to smash Hizbul Mujahideen sleeper cells, now active in the national Capital, as revealed during interrogation of two alleged terrorists.

Police sources on Tuesday said the interrogation of two alleged Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists -- Javed Ahmed Tantray (35) and Ashiq Ali Bhatt (30) -- revealed that the duo got logistical support from the banned outfit's sleeper cells active in the national Capital.

The two terrorists were arrested on August six and two AK-47 rifles, two grenades and four magazines (about 120 bullets), besides some documents were recovered from them.

The duo, who received training in terror-camps in Pakistan, came to India via Nepal.

"An unidentified man received them in Kathmandu who took them to Pokhra and later they reached Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. On August three, they boarded a train to Jammu," according to Joint Commissioner (Special Cell) P N Aggarwal.

In Jammu, they contacted one Faiyaz who arranged a car for them to travel to Delhi, he said.

Police said the militants had met the outfit's chief Syed Salahuddin in terrorist training camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir where he asked them to carry out terror strikes in India.

The arrested men, who have been remanded to police custody till August 17, had got their arms training in terror camps in Boi and Mansura in PoK, the police had said.
