Commonwealth Games the same year too; Delhi becomes world sports centre.
New Delhi: Indian hockey has got a major shot in the arm as New Delhi has been chosen to host the World Cup in 2010, the Federation of International Hockey confirmed on Wednesday.
The Federation of International Hockey (FIH) met in the Capital on Tuesday and unveiled their professional logo as well.
The year 2010 will be the second time that India will host the Hockey World Cup. The last time it was held in Mumbai in 1982.
New Delhi will also be hosting the Commonwealth Games the same year.
