Watch: Sonakshi Sinha Steps Out For Dinner Date With Husband Zaheer Iqbal

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal are not shying away from displaying their affection in public. After secretly dating for seven years, the couple got married in June and has been enjoying their married life. On October 16, Sonakshi and Zaheer were spotted outside a lavish restaurant in Mumbai. Several videos circulating online show the couple exiting the restaurant and heading towards their car.

For date night, the Heeramandi actress sported a casual yet chic look in a printed top, black pants and jacket teamed with white sneakers. She accessorised with stylish glasses and left her hair open. Sonakshi’s husband, on the other hand, wore a black T-shirt and grey trousers for their romantic rendezvous. In the video, the actress playfully interacted with the paparazzi while Zaheer carefully escorted her to the car as a crowd surrounded them.

Sonakshi and Zaheer were married in a civil ceremony on June 23, 2024, in the presence of their respective families and friends. The intimate wedding was followed by a grand reception at a luxurious restaurant in Mumbai, attended by many prominent figures from Bollywood. Earlier, during an interaction at the CNN News18 Mumbai Townhall 2024, the couple shared insights into their relationship and marriage.

Speaking about their decision to keep their relationship private, Sonakshi revealed that “nazar” was the main reason why they chose not to make any public appearances or openly discuss their relationship. “I feel it’s always better to keep private things private. You’re already so much in the limelight; everybody knows everything about you. Something that is so dear to you should be kept for yourself,” said the Heeramandi actress.

Further, in the conversation, Sonakshi reflected on the overwhelming love the couple received after announcing their marriage through social media. Admitting that she never expected to get such hearty reactions, she added, “Honestly, no. There were so many mixed emotions and different things we were reading online. But we decided to drown out the noise and just focus on each other. We said, to hell with the world, and we’re going to celebrate our love.”

Meanwhile, Sonakshi talked about a beautiful shift that happened once she got married to her longtime beau Zaheer. “The day we got married, I don’t know what shifted, but there was only love. Everyone there could see the love between us, our family, our friends. We wanted only the people who genuinely and truly love us to be there. Positive, positive, positive energy. And that’s what happened,” she said.

On the work front, Sonakshi made an impact with her dual roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. She was last seen in the horror comedy Kakuda.
