New Delhi: Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh has tweeted that he is in a relationship with a woman called Amrita Rai. In a tweet he said: "I have no hesitation in accepting my relationship with Amrita Rai. She and her husband have already filed a mutual consent divorce case."
He has also tweeted that once Amrita Rai's divorce is finalised, they would formalise the relationship. "Once that is decided we would formalise it. But I do condemn encroachment in our private life," anther tweet from him said.
Digvijaya Singh has lost his wife a year ago. Recently (on April 11), he had tweeted leading to speculations that he may be thinking about marrying again. He had tweeted: "I am a widower and if I remarry I won't hide like your Dear Feku!"
Digvijaya Singh, who was the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh for 10 years, is close to the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and has been elected to the Rajya Sabha recently.
