New Delhi: Delhi University's fourth cut off list released on Friday is largely an OBC affair with almost all colleges keeping admissions open to the reserved category, though a handful of colleges did come out with lists in the general category for a few courses.
With OBC seats still to be filled in all colleges, many lowered cut offs in this category further down to the 10 per cent margin.
However, a handful of high profile colleges did spring a surprise declaring cut offs in the popular courses of B Com, Economics, Mathematics and Political Science.
Starved for options, the students still have the last opportunity to enter the prestigious University, with B Com course still open in Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, Hansraj College, Kirorimal, Motilal Nehru and Shyam Lal Anand college. The Economics course is open for general category students in Deshbandhu, Zakir Hussain, Sri Venkateshwara and Ramjas.
Meanwhile, Sociology and Psychology courses are still open for admissions in Lady Sri Ram college at 92.75 and 95 per cent respectively, while Philosophy in Hindu at 85 to 95 per cent.
Students looking to study Mathematics will also turn out to be happy, as Hindu, Rajdhani and Shri Venkateshwara colleges all declaring cut offs for the honours course. Physics is still open in Hansraj college.
A last window still remains for another cut off list which will come out after this round of admissions is over over the next four days, and colleges are hoping to fill up their OBC categories in the last two admission windows.
