New Delhi: Ferrari unveiled their new Formula One car with former world champion Michael Schumacher unable to keep away and taking a sneak preview in the workshop. But Schumacher kept a low profile, away from the media.

The F1 giants unveiled their new Formula One car for the 2007 season called the F2007. It is the 53rd single-seater model built by Ferrari.

"I don't know exactly how they have done in the past. I think it has been like it's going to be this year also. It will be just after the trial vision and an engineer, whoever will win," Ferrari's new driver Kimi Raikkonen says.

So what's the new car about? Well, the chassis has been modified to accommodate a new front suspension. The car also has a longer wheelbase, and following more stringent safety regulations introduced by the FIA, the new car's cockpit has been reinforced to improve driver protection leading to a weight increase of almost 10 kilograms.

"That's not a worry because we have everything, we have some plans to improve the car quite a reasonable step into the first race, and that's always positive which we know even depends of the lap times you are doing, depending on the work you are doing, you still have something which can improve even more the car. So, I think that's definitely positive and I am looking forward for that," Felipe Massa says.

The F2007 will be tested for the first time by Massa today at Fiorano.
