Meanwhile, PM Modi also noted that a large section of people still remember those who benefited the House with their good ideas

Ahead of the interim budget’s first session in the Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this budget will be a spectacle of ‘nari shakti’ (woman power).

Citing the budget session’s address by President Droupadi Murmu and interim budget presentation by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, PM Modi said that “It is a festival of woman power”.

Taking a swipe at the opposition, the prime minister said that those “who have become habituated to creating ruckus and tear apart democratic values, they will definitely introspect today.”

  1. Starting off his speech with ‘Ram Ram’, Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed the interim budget to be a festival of woman power. He said that the first session in the new Parliament building witnessed the approval of ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ and then on January 26, the nation witnessed woman power on the Kartavya Path.
  2. PM Modi noted that the budget session’s beginning with President Murmu’s address and the presentation by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman shows that this is a festival of ‘nari shakti‘.
  3. Taking a dig at the Opposition, the prime minister said that those who “habitually make noise, who have negative thoughts and tear apart democratic values, will not be remembered for long”, adding that they all should “introspect their acts in the last 10 years”.
  4. PM Modi appealed to them to “contribute to the Parliament”.
  5. On the other hand, the prime minister said, a large section of people still remember those who benefited the House with their good ideas.
  6. PM Modi said in the coming days, every single voice that “once emanated from the House will be revealed as a record of history.
  7. Reiterating the note that when elections are around the corner, a full budget is not presented, PM Modi said that “once the new government is formed, they will present a full budget” before the nation.
  8. The prime minister, in a motivated spirit, asked everyone to ensure that they “perform the best in the House, give the best ideas to the House and fill the country with enthusiasm”.
  9. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget on Thursday with some guidelines, he said.
  10. “Today, Bharat is constantly moving forward and attaining new heights of development. With blessings of all of you, this journey will continue…” PM Modi said before concluding his address with a “Ram Ram” chant.
