GULBARGA: The Karnataka Janapada Academy is bringing out a folklore dictionary for the first time and its first volume is likely to be released at the end of the month, Janapada Academy chairman Go Ru Channabasappa said on Saturday.He said that the Kannada Development Authority has given `20 lakh for the purpose.An editorial board of 15 experts (one expert for two districts) has compiled the collection of folklore-related words.Also, an advisory board comprising experts Dr C Veeranna and Venkatasubbaiah monitored bringing out the dictionary.Channabasappa said that a total of 3 lakh folklore words were collected by the team, of which one lakh have been selected for inclusion in dictionary.Artist’s Works ShiftedGulbarga: Though artist Vijay Hagargundgi sought more time to shift his folklore and art exhibition from the government quarters near Aiwan-e-Shahi Guest House, the district administration shifted the artwork to his relatives’ house at Karuneshwara Nagar on Saturday morning, according to officials here.Sources said that a few years ago, Vijay Hagargundgi had been space in PWD quarters to house his works and allow public to view them.
