BANGALORE: Unlike in the past, the mood in Monday’s swearing-in ceremony was not so ecstatic for two reasons: One, it was hurriedly arranged, thus preventing the followers of to-be ministers from participating in it. Two, the heavy rains that lashed the city just before the swearing-in played a spoilsport. The Swearing-in ceremony got over in just 30 minutes as four ministers took oath at a time. Jagadish Shettar, R Ashok, V S Acharya and CM Udasi were the first to take oath.Krishna Palemar and V Somanna were the first to come to the venue followed by former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa. He came along with his followers Basavaraj Bommai and Murugesh Nirani.Yeddyurappa, however, made a hurried exit immediately after the ceremony was over, even as new ministers were posing for a group photo with the CM and the Governor.State BJP president K S Eshwarappa, who identified with anti-Yeddyurappa camp during the recent crisis, came alone and got himself seated on the other side of the dais. After noticing it, Yeddyurappa and Bommai went up to him and greeted him. After that, Eshwarappa sat beside the former CM.M P Renukacharya, who came with his wife and daughter, greeted Yeddyurappa by touching his feet.
