BANGALORE: In a move to assuage the feelings of the media, the state government has ordered a judicial probe into the violent clashes between members of the fourth estate and advocates in the City Civil Court premises on Friday. “I strongly condemn the attack on members of the media by the advocates. This is totally unacceptable in a democratic set-up. The government will take strict action against the culprit-advocates,  who took law into their own hands. The judicial probe will be headed by a retired judge of a High Court from outside Karnataka,” Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda told reporters, after a series of meetings with the Home Minister, Chief Secretary, DG & IGP, Commissioner of Police and other top police officials. Clarifying that no police personnel has died, Gowda said 10 media men and 32 police personnel were injured in the violent incidents.
