New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday expressed concern over terrorism in India, during a meeting with the editors of television news channels.
He said, "Terrorism is a point of concern. We are ready to deal with it. The Government deserves some credit for tackling the terror activities."
Talking about the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) peace talks with the government to stabilize the situation in Assam, the Prime Minister said that the situation in the North East is coming back to normal.
The Prime Minister also stated that the government is trying its best to control the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. "People can look for orderly development and if the Rangarajan committee report to extend financial help to the state, is implemented, it will be a good deal for the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
