Govt proved its strength

HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that his government had proved its strength on the floor of the House with the election of the Congress nominees for the posts of speaker and deputy speaker.“We have cleared all the doubts in the minds of the members of the House on leadership issue,’’ he said.In an informal chat with mediapersons here on Saturday, he said: “We will prove our strength when the need arises. We are not shying away from the no-confidence motion. But a decision on allowing the motion to be tabled in the House will have to be taken by the Speaker.’’ Some ministers and Congress MLAs could not take part in the voting as they were on foreign trips while a few others could not make it for other reasons, he said.
