McLaren driver Jenson Button believes that his former team-mate Lewis Hamilton will soon gain the pace with Mercedes and will come strong in the upcoming races. Hamilton left McLaren to join Mercedes this season.
However, Hamilton's performances has not been that impressive this season. With a number of impressive qualifying displays, the British couldn't clinch good points for Mercedes.
But, Button believes that his former team-mate will recover and will make a strong comeback.
"You have to be fair, he has at least collected significantly more points than Nico," Button told Auto Motor und Sport.
"Lewis is incredibly fast, but for him it's the same as all of us; if he does not have the right balance in the car that suits him, and that he was used to for many years, then it is not easy," he said.
"And of course Nico is also fast, but Lewis has not lost his speed. It is still there, he will come back and then he will shock you all," Button added.
