BANGALORE: The late evening showers on Saturday played a spoilsport to the weekend party spirits of Bangalorens. Though the heavy rains washed away the weekend zeal, many people were seen in shopping spree, making the heavy downpour insignificant. On one side of the street if people were seen with frowns on their faces, on the other side, auto drivers beamed a content smile, being sure their pockets were going to be heavy.The minimum temperature was 20 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was slightly above normal, around 29 degrees Celsius. There was moderate rain in all over the city as it received 2.9 centimeters rainfall, on Saturday.Traffic jams were reported on Bellary Road, Bangalore International Airport Road, Yeshwanthpur, Majestic, K R circle, Corporation and KR Market area. The incessant rains uprooted trees on Bull Temple Road and Vasanth Nagar. Cases of water logging was reported in Nayandahalli, Tilak Nagar, Sriramapuram, Okalipuram and parts of Cox Town, Bannerghatta Road, Central Silk Board junction, Indiranagar 100 Ft Road and Dairy Circle.
