BANGALORE: The narcotics squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) has busted an interstate prostitution racket by conducting raids on two upmarket hotels on Brigade Road and Sheshadripuram.Three women and a receptionist who was allegedly assisting them have been arrested. Four mobile phones and a cash of Rs 700 have also been seized during the raids, the police said.Based on a definite tip off, the CCB sleuths carried out a raid on Ascort Hotel on Brigade Road and arrested Mahi Besoya (22) of Delhi, Sonia Kamble of Poona (21) and the receptionist Mary Agnes (37) on charges of running the prostitution racket on Saturday, the police said.Investigations have revealed that a man identified as Rajesh was transporting the girls from Delhi, Mumbai and Poona for prostitution in the city's hotels, the police said through a website www.bangaloreescorts.com.He used to book rooms in prestigious hotels through Kumar alias Michael and run the flesh trade. Customers who had contacted them through numbers given on the website were given a room number and the hotel name. Also, they were told to deposit Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 at the reception for the service. The police conducted another raid on Grand Meridian Hotel in Sheshadripuram. Investigations revealed that Rajesh was involved here too. Saniya Ansari, an Andheribased Mumbai girl was arrested. Further enquiries revealed that she had earned Rs 1,80,000 in the last eight days of her stay. She had deposited the money at the HDFC Bank, Kumara Krupa West branch and Mumbai branches of HDFC, ICICI and Bank of India.The raid was conducted under the leadership of ACP R Lakshman, Inspectors C Siddaraju, K R Bhadramma, PSI Sripada Shastri and constables Sripada, Puttanarasayya, Timappa, Jabivulla, Krishnayya, Lakshminarayan, Lakshmamma and Roopa.Sheshadripuram police are investigating the case after registering a case. Rajesh and Kumar alias Michael have absconded.
