MYSORE: The Dasara Tourism Committee will introduce home stays in Mysore during Dasara festivities which will commence from September 29.About 30 houses have been identified to accommodate tourists during the festivities.Tourists intending to stay in such houses will have to pay a package fee which is to be finalised.In return, they will get a gift pack containing Mysore Peta, Mysore silk scarf, sandalwood carving, 5 ml sandalwood oil, sandal soap, and sandal incense sticks, said committee president and former MLC C Ramesh.He addressed the press here that they have come up with new kiosks to attract tourists.The committee has also decided to open information kiosks at Mysore Railway Station, Mysore Palace, K R Circle, Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, Sayyaji Rao Road, K R Road, Private Bus Stand, City Bus Stand, Dasara Exhibition Ground, Chamundi Hill and Mandakalli Airport.A route map of tourism spots in the region will be distributed free of cost.
