Often being dubbed as a "perfectionist" actor, Aamir said he disagreed with the tag.

Mumbai: Aamir Khan, who played a cop struggling to cope with the death of his young son in 'Talaash', says the film was "emotionally exhaustive".

"The role of 'Talaash' was tough. The loss of the son in the film was emotionally exhausting. I had to star shooting thinking something really traumatic as that would set my mood," Aamir told reporters today at an event organised by Microsoft India to felicitate winners of 'Talaash' contest.

Aamir said he had to go deep into the "space of loss" to step into the shoes of his character on the screen.

'Talaash: The Answer Lies Within' was a mystery film directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Productions, starring Aamir, Rani Mukerji, and Kareena Kapoor in the lead.

On often being dubbed as a "perfectionist" actor, Aamir said he disagreed with the tag.

"I don't think I am perfectionist. I don't think there is any such thing in the creative business. I don't consider myself perfectionist," the actor said, adding that he gives his best when it comes to his characters.

"I leave no stone unturned for any of my films," he added.

Aamir said he did not think much about being successful but enjoys doing his work.

"I don't know why I am successful so far. I don't think about it. I just enjoy my work and give my best. I want to surprise and challenge myself. I want to give audience something new every time," he said.

Aamir, known for experimenting with his looks, said he liked his get-up in films 'Mangal Pandey' and 'Ghajini'.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan, who has worked in films across almost all genre like action, drama, comedy, romance and suspense thriller, would like to do a science fiction film.

"If I come across a good science fiction script, I would love to do it. I never decide or plan what I want to do next. I do it organically. If something interesting in science

fiction space is offered to me...(if)I like it. I will do it," Aamir told reporters here at an event.

Aamir will be seen next in 'Dhoom 3', 'Peekay' and the second season of 'Satyameva Jayate'.

"I have 'Dhoom 3' lined up for release this Christmas.

The film has been shot mainly in Chicago as the film is set there. I had great experience working on it," Aamir said.

"Then I have 'Peekay' which will release next year. I have second season of 'Satyameva Jayate'. I am looking forward to it," he said adding he wanted to contribute to society

through this show.

"This show is something that was growing in my mind slowly. I wanted to make use of my profession. I feel the change should come from within and not force anyone to change," he said.

"The response to the show was great. It touched the hearts of several people. I am happy as political leaders, IPS, IAS officers also responded well to the show," he added.
