I speak to god

God and I  - Dr CB Pavi Chellakumar (Group chairman of Campus-Abroad)Understanding of godWhen a peasant was asked why he thought god existed, he said ‘I speak to him every day’. Likewise, not a day has passed in my life in the last 45 years without me talking to him. The practice took five minutes every morning. Now it takes more than an hour, bringing me wisdom and happiness. Spiritual belief and practisesMy faith in Lord Jesus Christ is infallible. He carries me and my family through all difficulties and hurdles. My prayers are always answered. When I had to meet someone who did not have communication facility, I would pray. The next day, miraculously, the concerned person would meet me. God has never failed me.Ever since I offered the prayer of Agur — Remove far from vanity and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me; lest I be full, and deny Thee, and say, who is the Lord or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of God in vain — god has been kind and  has blessed me.I strongly believe that without the will of god, nothing happens in one’s life. I have learnt to accept his will in all circumstances and this has helped me see and understand life easily.Understanding life There’s a saying, ‘I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet’. If people understand the meaning of this philosophical saying, they will enjoy blessings from above. If we compare our lives to the rich, we will definitely be disappointed but if we look at the children dying of hunger in Somalia, we will realise how blessed we are.
