Arunima Sinha is the world's first female amputee to scale Mount Everest. She was a national level volleyball player who was pushed out of a running train in 2011. One of her legs had to be amputated below the knee to save her. She joined IBNLive readers for an interaction on her successful ascent of Mt Everest.

Q. Hello ma'am, how did you lift yourself up after that tragic event in train? How you managed to be tougher mentally? Asked by: shiv

A. I made my weakness, my strength. People who criticised me helped me, as it influenced me to do better & never give up.

Q. How many were you in the team? Did you wear special shoes for your prosthetic limb? Asked by: Arindam Dutta

A. Yes, I wore a special shoes. Innoviti, US company donated me the shoes. They are very dear to me.

Q. Congrats, what a achiever hats off to you Arunima to come over all life barriers to reach top of the world. Asked by: tushar

A. Thank you, one should never give up and fight back.

Q. Now what are all things you have planned for your future? Asked by: Aditya

A. I'm from a middle class family. I want to start an academy for physically challenged and weaker section of society. We have got the land in Unnao district and name of the academy will be Pt Chandeshekhar Azad physical challenged sports academy.

Q. How you have achieved this difficult task? What was the motivational factor behind this? Asked by: Aditya

A. Criticism of many people, Yuvraj Singh who fought Cancer & Bachendri Pal were some of the motivational factors.

Q. Any special line for those who always worried from there small problems? Asked by: Aditya

A. Never give up, work very hard. One should dream but that dream should never let you sleep. Govt should train girls in martial art & give self defence trainings in schools for women safety.

Q. Congrats, you deserve an award. why don't you try for the position of sports minister? at least you have courage, positivity and willpower. Not like those who only knows how to demotivate sports persons and degrade other sports except cricket. Asked by: pc aka @jpchat9

A. Cricket is liked by many people in India. Every player works hard like cricketers. Other games should also be promoted.

Q. Where did you get yourself trained to combat against the odds during your conquest of the Everest? Asked by: Kishnendu Chakraborty

A. I got basic training from Nehru Institute of mountaineering. At Tata Steel adventure foundation I trained rigorously from past one and half year.

Q. Was your expedition financed by Indian Mountaineering Federation? Asked by: Jyoti

A. No, Tata Steel sponsored and trained me.

Q. Congrats, what advice you give to youngsters to achieve that goal? Asked by: tushar

A. Thank you, one should dream but that dream should never let you sleep.
