A live beer counter has been started at A-46 Microbrewery at Citi Residence at the Hotel City Center, Durgapur, in West Bengal. According to Local 18 Bengal, consumers are offered five flavours of beer at the live counter. These include the Gandharaj Lemon, Watermelon, Orange, Premium Lager and Mango. Amongst the given flavours, the Gandharaj Lemon and recently launched Mango flavoured beers, are the most preferred amongst the public. The beers are served in glasses of 500 ml, 1.5 litres and 3 litres as well. Costing Rs 1,900, these beers can be enjoyed by a massive group of people. According to the Brewery workers, the demand for beer has increased in summer. Workers added that up to 100 litres of beer are being sold on any given day on weekends

Workers said that the consumers are happy to see the beer being manufactured before their eyes and get a chance to try different luscious flavours. These factors have elucidated widespread responses from buyers regardless of gender. Another factor that has made this live beer counter at Durgapur into headlines is respecting consumer preferences. The A-46 Microbrewery gives consumers a chance to taste beer before ordering it. You can try an array of flavours available and then order the beer of your choice.

The microbrewery in Durgapur comprises many beer-making machines. Beer is manufactured here through the fermentation process. Deblina Mandal, who is in charge of social media marketing at the hotel chain revealed more details about his unit. According to Mandal, it was decided to open the live beer counter in Durgapur after a similar counter was constructed in Kolkata. As per the social media marketing in charge, their initiative is for the convenience of those who want to enjoy the chilled beer without travelling to Kolkata. She said that her unit wanted to create a unit in which various fruit flavours of beer can be found and are made in front of the eyes of the buyers.

Rahul Mandal, one of the workers in this unit, said that the beer brewing process takes eight hours or more to complete.
