The incident comes after Sarabjit Singh, a death row convict, who was a native of Punjab died in a prison in Lahore in 2013.

New Delhi: An Indian prisoner was found dead in a jail in Pakistan's Karachi on Tuesday morning. The prisoner identified as Kishore Bhagwan was lodged in Landhi Jail in Karachi.

The body of the deceased has been sent for post mortem.

According to Pakistan's media, Kishore, was arrested by the Pakistan's maritime security agency in January 2013.

He among with 54 other Indian sailors were arrested for illegally fishing in Pakistan waters. He was sent to jail on January 25, 2013.

He was taken to the jail's infirmary after he complained of illness. Initial reports suggests that he died of a heart attack.

In the past few years there have been several fishermen who have been held by the Pakistani coast guard and thrown into the Landhi Jail in Karachi.

The incident comes after Sarabjit Singh, a death row convict, who was a native of Punjab died in a prison in Lahore in 2013 following an attack by fellow inmates.
