Akshay Kumar and Radhikka Madan’s recently released film Sarfira garnered positive reviews from both the audience and critics. Helmed by Sudha Konagara, the film is an official Hindi remake of the National Award-winning South film Soorarai Pottru which starred Suriya and Paresh Rawal in lead roles. The film is a biopic of GR Gopinath, the founder of Indian low-cost airline Simplifly Deccan.
On Tuesday, the makers of Sarfira unveiled a new track from the film, titled Dhokha, nearly a week after the film’s theatrical release. Sharing a snippet of the song on Instagram, Akshay Kumar wrote, “Duniya kya hai dhokha hai leher se ladti nauka hai. The only truth in life is your spirit to fight. Everything else is #Dhokha. #Sarfira In Cinemas Now! Book your tickets."

In the clip, the Khiladi actor could be seen dancing with all energy, featuring a rustic look. He donned a black kurta and military green joggers. Sung by Mika Singh, the track is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The lyrics are penned by Manoj Muntashir.
As soon as the Welcome actor dropped the clip, fans swamped down the comment section and shared their reactions. An Instagram user wrote, “Amazing Song." Another said, “Blockbuster movie in my opinion." A fan commented, “Loved it, Akshay sir is amazing."
Despite the positive word of mouth, Sarfira seems to be struggling at the box office. According to Sacnilk.com, the Akshay Kumar starrer has minted Rs 15.4 crore in India in five days.
Written by Sudha Kongara and Shalini Ushadevi, Sarfira is produced by Aruna Bhatia (Cape of Good Films), South superstars and couple Suriya and Jyotika (2D Entertainment) and Vikram Malhotra (Abundantia Entertainment).
Talking about upcoming projects, Akshay will be next seen in the comedy-drama Khel Khel Mein. Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film also stars Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal in lead roles.
Khel Khel Mein is set to hit the theatres on the occasion of Independence Day 2024. It will face a big Bollywood clash with RajKummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 and John Abraham’s Vedaa.
Apart from this, Akshay also has Housefull 5 and Welcome…To The Jungle in his kitty.
