New Delhi: An Indian student in Germany, who was found hanging in his apartment on January 8, had not complained of any ragging by seniors, officials of the Indian consulate have found. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin, in a tweet, said that officials of the Indian consulate in Frankfurt had spoken to Likhith Shashidhar's apartment friends in Kreuztal town and police, and "no allegations of ragging" were made to them.
Shashidhar, 24, was found hanging in his apartment in Kreuztal on January 8. His parents have alleged harassment by seniors.
Shashidhar was enrolled in a post-graduate course in Siegen University. German authorities said it was a clear case of suicide, but his family has expressed doubts about it. University authorities have said Shashidhar was depressed.
