Indian woman — where is her freedom?
Indian woman — where is her freedom?
Tell me where is she safe? And where is her freedom?

With Pratibha Patil sworning in as the first ever woman President of free India, we are are beliving that the time has changed and now India at its 60s has much better oppurtunities for Women.

But can we have a look at the other news/headlines of the same day... I am not having exact figures... but you can easily find news of atleast!5 raps , 2 sexual harrasment , 1 dowry and the most shameful recent Mumbai case of 10 yr old girl child..and that too I repeat at least... there is much more than that. So what is the freedom that we are talking about, where we are not even able to provide the basic security to the better half community.

Tell me where is she safe? And where is her freedom? Today when the Indian woman is trying to be on her own, creating her own world and where she has proved that if given a chance she can do wonders, are there equal oppurtunities for her?

NO... In every field we can count on fingers the no of successful women, where are others. Every year in the CBSE 12th class results, the performance by girls is always higher that that of boys... than where is that percentage goes at higher levels... Why we have less percentage of women in competitive exams.. How many women are heading the highest management position in their professions. Have look at their life at home..even the educated woman is facing a mentual and physical torture (Shweta Tiwari) silently..

There are many such stories .Watch 'Dansh' on IBN7 All these raises a question why? Where are we lacking? And the important What are we doing about it... India might be free but Indina Women is still on her way to freedom.. She is still strugglling. I really want to see that feel of independence in eyes of each Indian Women and then only I can be proud to be part of Rising India. I would like to finish with the few lines from a Hindi poem: 'Jab Tak Bandhi he Chetna, Jab Tak Hraday Dukh Se Ghana Tab Tak Na Manugi Kabhi, Is Rah Ko Hi Me Sahi Sach Hum Nahi, Sach Tum Nahi, Sach He Mahaj Sangharsh Hi' Struggle is the only Truth.
