An infertility centre of international standards has been opened at the SAT Hospital by Health Minister V S Sivakumar. Along with this a neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric neurology centre, cardiology centre, oxygen plant and a play area for children was also inaugurated.
In his inaugural address, the Health Minister said that a new CT scan facility worth Rs 2 crore would soon be set up at SAT. An amount of Rs 48 lakh would be sanctioned for buying a generator for the new block. A new lift at the expense of Rs 25 lakh would also be set up at the OP Block.
The Minister said that the move to shift the casualty to the front portion of the hospital would be completed in a time-bound manner. He also said that the SAT Hospital would be made the best women and children hospital in the state. The meeting was presided over by Medical College principal Ramdas Pisharody.
