ITER to host meet on energy, automation

BHUBANESWAR: The Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) of the Sikhya ‘O’ Anusandhan, Deemed to be University, is set to host a three-day international conference on Energy, Automation and Signal, attracting experts from across the world, here from Wednesday.The conference would focus on issues like energy, automation, signal processing, image processing and communication systems which are of critical importance for a country like India which is facing crisis of energy deficit and lack of proper control and communication systems, general Chair of the conference Prof PK Dash said.The conference is technically co-sponsored by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Indian National Academy of Engineering, Department of Science and Technology and Union Ministry of Information Technology.The conference would provide a platform for an interface of educators, researchers and energy developers in South Asia and contribute to the efficient and development of low-cost energy sources, IEEE vice-president Prof Saifur Rehman said.
