Los Angeles: Maternity leave is over for Oscar winner Julia Roberts, who is planning her return to the silver screen, Hollywood trade magazine Variety reported.

Roberts, 39, began her maternity leave in early 2005 to take care of her twin children.

The famous Pretty Woman is now in final talks to star in a movie titled Daniel Isn't Talking, based on a novel by Marti Leimbach.

The movie, about the challenges of a family that raises an autistic child, is to be produced by Karen Rosenfelt with a script by Stephen Chbosky (Rent).

Roberts has already starred in a movie based on a Leimbach book, Dying Young in 1991.

She may also co-star with Tom Hanks in a movie titled Charlie Wilson's War, based on a book by the same name by George Crile. The movie is to be directed by Mike Nichols, according to Variety.

Roberts won an Oscar for best actress for her role in the 2000 movie Erin Brockovich.

Currently, Roberts is in New York, where she is set to appear on March 28 in Broadway show Three Days of Rain, by Richard Greenberg, which tells the story of a brother and a sister unraveling the truth surrounding their father's death and its connection with a childhood friend.
