Karnataka’s Mysore Palace To Allow WhatsApp Tickets For Tourists
Visitors can purchase tickets through the government's EDCS Mobile One scheme, available via WhatsApp.

There’s just a few days left for the grand celebration of Naada Habba Dasara. It will be held from October 3 to 12 in the Mysore Palace, Karnataka. Recently, the board of the palace introduced WhatsApp tickets for tourists to enter the iconic palace without any hassles or standing in long queues to purchase entry tickets. As per the latest reports, visitors can purchase tickets through the government’s EDCS Mobile One scheme, available via WhatsApp. By simply texting “AG” to the WhatsApp number 8884160088, tourists can secure their palace viewing tickets. Not only that, it can also be obtained by scanning the WhatsApp QR code provided on the Mysore Palace Board website, https://mysorepalace.karnataka.gov.in.

WhatsApp tickets can be purchased in Kannada or English. The ticket is valid for 5 days from the date of purchase. The Deputy Director of the Mysore Palace Board said that the palace can be visited from 10 am to 5.30 pm.

In light of the Dasara festivities, M Narayanagowda and others from the Mysuru District Hotel Owners Association presented a memorandum to the DC at his office on Wednesday to extend the night hours till 1 pm, as this would help the city attract tourists, boost tourism, business, the hospitality sector, and other activities.

The ticket is valid for 5 days from the date of purchase. The Deputy Director of the Mysore Palace Board said that the palace can be visited from 10 am to 5.30 pm.

The grand inauguration of the Mysuru Dasara festival will take place on October 3rd, with the traditional Jambusavari, a grand elephant procession, scheduled for October 12th.

This year’s celebrations will include an extended Dipalankara (light decorating) lasting 21 days, which is 10 days longer than in prior years. Even after the Jambusavari concludes, the illuminated splendour will continue for 11 more days, adding to the festive atmosphere in the city.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed that this year’s decorations should be higher than last year’s, with the goal of making the event even more visually appealing.
