HYDERABAD: Telanagan Jagruthi president K Kavitha has warned chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Assembly speaker N Manohar that she will go on an indefinite hunger strike if they fail to make an announcement in the next 48 hours on installation of BR Ambedkar’s statue on Assembly premises.Kavitha, daughter of TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao, served the warning as she launched a 48-hour deeksha at Indira Park on Friday.Earlier, Kavitha had garlanded the Ambedkar statue and went in a procession to the deeksha venue. A large number of Telangana Jagruthi activists took part in the procession. Addressing people at the deeksha venue, Kavitha accused the chief minister of delaying installation of the statue on the pretext of finding a suitable place. She demanded installation of an Ambedkar statue beside Mahatma Gandhi’s on Assembly premises.
