Thiruvananthapuram: A local NCP leader in Kerala today approached the court after the Kerala police refused to act on his complaint against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for travelling on top of a police vehicle.
Advocate Mujeeb Rahman of the NCP, which is in alliance with the Opposition Left in Kerala, said in his complaint that Rahul had violated the Motor Vehicles Act after he climbed up on top of the police car during a rally in the state.
The police had refused to file a case against Rahul saying that he had taken permission from the police before doing so.
Rahman today approached the judicial first class magistrate court in Mavelikkara. The court directed the police to submit a report and posted the matter for hearing on January 29.
