New Delhi: Ex-Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda’s key aide Devendra Mukhiya says his life is in danger.
Mukhiya appeared at the income tax office in Ranchi for questioning on Monday.
Devendra Mukhiya said, “I don't know these people. I only know Koda and Bheem. I am ill and that's why I met him. I am scared for my life their shooters might kill me anytime.”
Koda's aides had been given a deadline to appear before I-T officials last Friday.
However, none of them did, prompting officials to arrest Binod Sinha. Meanwhile, investigators are probing Koda's payoff diary, which is expected to throw up many more names of those involved in the Rs 4000 crore.
The diary was recovered from SK Naredi, the personal assistant of Binod Sinha.
Naredi used to keep a detailed accounts of payments made to individuals by Koda and his associates.
On Sunday, Binod Sinha's brother Vikas was grilled by the Enforcement Directorate.
Koda himself, now out of hospital, hasn't been questioned yet.
Sources say investigators may seek permission to conduct a narco test on Koda. ED officials have summoned him to New Delhi on November 11.
