KPCC to go in for total revamp of party

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KPCC executive committee on Wednesday decided to go in for a total revamp of the party structure in the state.  The reconstitution will be completed within two months starting from July. The revamp will also be executed in the District Congress Committees. The KPCC will strive hard to implement the one man one post norm while reconstituting the organisation, said KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala. The committee also decided not to consider any Congress candidate who had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly elections for the post of chairman in Corporations and Boards."None of the former MLAs or others who were defeated in the elections will be considered for these posts,’’ the KPCC president said.He said that the committee constituted to probe into the reasons behind the poor performance of the party in the Assembly elections will also consider the complaints given by certain candidates who were defeated in the elections.The committee had been asked to submit the report within three months.
