Live: East Coast Railway cancels 35 trains as Cyclone Hudhud approaches Odisha, Andhra Pradesh

Cyclone Hudhud, which is fast approaching the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh coastline, has intensified into a "very severe cyclonic storm", the Met Department said on Friday.

It is expected to hit Visakhapatnam on Sunday at a windspeed of 180 kmph, the district collector said.

The East Coast Railway has cancelled 35 trains and diverted many more as a preventive measure. Four naval ships and six aircraft are on standby for any emergencies. Several relief camps have been set up and NDRF teams have been called in to help with rescue operations.
