New Delhi: Doctors on Monday indicated that Pramod Mahajan's condition has not improved.
Mahajan is showing signs of evolving an acute respiratory distress syndrome - which is a feared complication in patients with extensive multiple trauma, massive blood transfusion and systematic sepsis.
He is being treated with advanced mechanical ventilation.
This is a worrying development necessitating advanced mechanical ventilation and posing an immediate cause of concern.
The immediate concern is to make sure that oxygen reaches those organs of the body that have been injured and those that have gone through multi-organ trauma.
Doctors say that this is common in patients with injuries like those of Pramod Mahajan and therefore they have been prepared for such an occurance.
They have put Mahajan on mechanical ventilation or oxilatory ventilator system. Doctors say that the condition has just evolved and that they are taking all measures to curb it.
Doctors are taking their time to study Mahajan's health and have not said whether they will operate on him again anytime soon.
