NAGERCOIL: A government bus driver, who went along with his friend to take revenge on another person over previous enmity, was accidentally hacked and killed by his own friend here on Sunday.Justine Jeyaraj (32) of Chembonvillai near Colachel, was working as a government bus driver in Chennai. Two days ago, Jeyaraj arrived here to participate in his 3-month-old-son’s baptism ceremony scheduled on Sunday. Justine’s friend, Mano alias Mano Raslin (24), a mason from the same area, reportedly had previous enmity with a history-sheeter from the same area, Prabhu. Prabhu, who was in jail after being arrested under the Goondas Act, had many cases pending against him. He was released from jail on Friday. Hearing about his release, Mano and Justine went to Prabhu’s house on Saturday night to take revenge on him. On seeing Mano, Prabhu locked himself inside his house. He removed the roof tiles, jumped out and started to run. Mano and Justine caught him. When Mano raised his sickle to attack Prabhu, he ducked and the blow fell on Justine. He was then rushed to hospital where he was declared ‘brought dead’.
