Washington: Aspiring rapper Kevin Federline insists that he is "America's most hated man" because he married Britney Spears.
He feels that fans of the Princess of Pop envied him for successfully winning her heart.
Federline made the statement during a performance at Hollywood's House Of Blues on November 22.
He shouted on the stage, "F**k the haters, f**k the media, f**k the paparazzi", reports Contactmusic.
He also adapted the lyrics to one of his songs; when a member of his entourage asked onstage, "Why does America hate you?" he replied,
"Maybe because I took their Queen. I am America's most hated."
A packed house had turned out to see a resilient Federline perform tracks from his debut album ‘Playing With Fire,’ as the concert organisers had given away tickets for free.
Britney Spears' estranged husband has had a lacklustre reception to his debut album and several live shows have been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
Since the split, Federline has been lambasted in the press as a gold-digging freeloader.
