MGNREGS file goes missing in Rayagada

RAYAGADA: The BDO of Kashipur block has filed an FIR with the local police station on Friday after a file, related to MGNREGS work in Renga panchayat went missing.   The file is believed to be important, especially for the investigations undertaken by intelligence agencies into the alleged irregularities in implementation of the scheme during 2006-07.The Executive Officer of Renga panchayat Biswanath Nirmal Pani has already been suspended for allegedly misappropriating funds to the tune of Rs. 25 lakh.  Collector Nitin Bhanudas Jawale said the investigating officials have been provided all the required files.
