New Delhi: Microsoft India will launch a new version of 'Microsoft Office System 2007' for business houses in India by the end of this year.
It would empower the information workers to deliver significant capabilities in areas such as communication, content protection and management, reduce security risks and deployment costs among others, Microsoft Business Division Product Management Group Corporate Vice President Chris Capossela said.
The new version would also lead to greater business performance, he claimed.
"The office system's new offering will be available to businesses towards the end of this year and the general availability will be there by early 2007," he said.
The offering would enhance individual effectiveness and drive business innovation, Capossela said, adding "this platform in India will unfold a new era of opportunities for customers, partners and the industry at large".
The new software would be available in the market in the range of Rs 7,000- Rs 8,000 as it was earlier and does not require any kind of technology upgrade, he said.
