My phone has been ringing and I think one more person will ask some stupid question or give his opinion on why did I send my son to that school. Yes, I admit that my son is going to the same school. And is it a fault for undergoing such a mental trauma for recent a incident at school? With continuous calls?
Media has made life hell for other parents especially other children studying at the school. Parents, somehow, can handle the situation to the stupid question asked by other parents/relatives/friends/ colleagues etc.
But has the media thought about the sensitivity of the issue by openly showing the school name and how it would affect other children along with the victim and family who are totally traumatised.
What will the child answer to a friend of his who studies in another school when he hears "your school is bad and so are your teachers" or "oh you are also going to that bad school".
Or a neighbour/friend asking: "Oh I heard your teachers gang raped a kid."
Come on media you too have got some social responsibility and don't just air news for the TRP. Your message might affect many others mentally. Try to be more responsible when it comes to kids.
We are with the victim's family, and god give them strength to come out of it especially the little one.
I may not have gone for protest against the school. It's not because I'm not worried but I feel it's not the way by which we can solve the issue.
As every parent I am worried about our kids' safety and shall never compromise and shall definitely fight with the management.
Is shutting down the school a solution? I don't think so.
But at the same time we should understand many of our kids still like to go to that school and love their teachers and feel safe and secure not only on premises but on buses as there are lady ayahs and also a teacher on the buses. All these years we were so confident and secure about the school and its safety. Did we lose all the trust and confidence?
We should settle the issue in a proper way taking it up with the government to hold the school management accountable for the safety of kids till they are dropped back home.
