New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a woman identified as Kamlelesh Dubey, has been allegedly killed in Aligarh by her neighbours because her daughter used to wear jeans and western attire. The incident took place in Bannadevi area of Aligarh on Tuesday.
Kamlesh Dubey's neighbour Phoolwati used to comment on her daughter for wearing jeans. This led to an altercation between Kamlesh and Phoolwati when the former objected to her neighbor passing the comments.
Then matter escalated and Phoolwati's family member attacked Kamlesh's family. During the incident they opened fire on Kamlesh and hit her on the head with the pistol.
Kamlesh later died as a result of the assault. Police have arrested some of the accused and are investigating the case.
There is tension in the area following the incident.
